Chris Brokaw is a registered patent attorney who has worked in the intellectual property field since 1999. He concentrates his practice on patent prosecution and strategic legal counseling.

Prior to his legal career, Chris worked as a software consultant for several software companies, including Oracle Corporation. As a software consultant, Chris gained considerable expertise in software systems, databases, and e-commerce applications.

Before opening his own legal practice, Chris prosecuted domestic and foreign patent applications protecting a wide array of technologies at Lyon & Lyon LLP and Hickman, Palermo, Truong, and Becker LLP, and was also a partner at another Silicon Valley patent boutique firm.

Chris has assisted many companies by developing a comprehensive strategy to protect their intellectual property. Chris has worked in an in-house capacity for Oracle Corporation and Phoenix Technologies Ltd.

Chris received his B.S in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from Santa Clara University, where he also received a Certificate in International High Tech Law. He is admitted to practice in California and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
